2026 Flaming June Half Marathon

The 2026 Flaming June Half Marathon and 10k will take place on Sunday 7th June 2026 with the start and finish at Histon & Impington Recreation Ground
The Half Marathon starts at 9.15am and the 10k at 9.30am
The minimum age for the Half Marathon is 17 years, and 13 years for the 10k Run.
The entry fees are as follows
- 10k £16
- Half marathon £22
An email will be sent to all runners a day before the event with your runner number and on the day race information
Half Marathon
The run starts at 9.15am, registration including collection of your runner number and shoe timing
chip is available from 8.15am on Histon Recreation Ground using the main entrance and please register by 9am.
10k
The 10k run starts at 9.30am and not as 9.45am as advised previously , registration including collection of
your runner number and shoe timing chip is available from 8.30am from Histon Recreation Ground using the main
entrance and please register by 9.15am.
All runners after receiving their runner number will need to ensure that that their shoe timing chip is securely fixed
to their running shoe, using ties that we will provide, and then make their way to their respective Wave starting area.
Shoe timing tags must be returned at the end of the race.
Please note:
There will be no parking in the Recreation Ground car park itself but there will be sign posted car parking on
the Histon Vision Park.
There will be provision to leave baggage in a marquee which will be manned. We must advise this is done
entirely at your own risk, and please keep baggage to a minimum.
The start and finish will be on Histon & Impington Recreation Ground.
Both the Half Marathon and 10k courses have substantially changed this year, as the Guided Busway
Bridleway cannot be used for events. The Half Marathon route now includes Cottenham. Please do follow
route signage and the directions of marshals.
The run route crosses a number of busy roads, and at all road crossings all runners must exercise due care
for themselves and others.
Please exercise care on those parts of the course where the surface is uneven. Runners are requested to
use road pavements at all times when directed. Failure to do so will result in disqualification.
There will be three water stations on the Half Marathon course and one on the 10k course, please note that energy
gels are not provided and please be prepared for weather conditions. Do not wear headphones.
Refreshments will be available all morning from 9am to 12.30pm at the Recreation Ground.

Race Registration
All runners must register at the Registration desks in the race headquarters on Histon & Impington Recreation Ground Centre to collect their race numbers and timing chip tags from the registration team from 8.15am to 9.15am ( please collect Half Marathon numbers by 8.55am).
Please go to the appropriate registration desk dealing with your start time. Race numbers will be filed numerically.
Race numbers should be pinned on the front of each runner to ensure your time can be recorded at the finish. Safety pins will be provided. Please allow sufficient time before the race start to collect your number..

The race start and finish take place at Histon & Impington Recreation Ground.
Flaming June Half Marathon starts at 9.15am
Flaming June 10k starts at 9.30am
Staggered start times
To ensure runner congestion on the course there will be three staggered starting wave times for the 10k and Half Marathon
We request that faster runners (sub 45 minutes for 10k, sub 1 hour 45 mins for Half Marathon) register for the first wave runners.
The Course
A map of the race routes is provided here.
The routes do involve crossing roads. Runners are asked to exercise due care at these points.
Water stations will be positioned at various positions around the course.
Race finish
The race finish is at Histon & Impington Recreation Ground. After crossing the finish line please stay in finish order in the funnel, and collect your drink and race memento.
Timing
The race uses chip timing. All runners will be provided with a chip timer that will be removed at the end of the run.
Please get in touch if there are any inaccuracies in the results once published.
Race results
Provisional results will be available on the Bonfire Burn website from 5pm on Sunday evening.
Parking
Parking is available at designated office car parks at the Vision Park, Histon
Cars will not be allowed to park at the Recreation Ground.
Changing, Toilets & Baggage
There are toilets for male and female runners at the race headquarters which also has a disabled toilet. There are separate male and female communal changing facilities at the Recreation Ground Centre and available on prior request
A designated manned area for the deposit of valuables and baggage will be provided in a dedicated marquee on the Recreation Ground. All baggage and valuables are left at the owner’s risk.
The race organisers will not take any responsibility for any losses or damage incurred.
Medical Support
Makira Medical and Event Service Ltd. will be on hand at the race headquarters to assist. Please note you should seek medical advice from your local GP if you are in any doubt as to your health in competing in this event. The organisers will not be held responsible for any injury, accident, loss or damage that may arise before, during or after the event as a consequence of a competitor’s participation in the race.
Lost Children
Any child that becomes separated from their parents will be taken to the information desk at the race headquarters on Histon & Impington Recreation Ground.

Event Cancellation
If the event is cancelled due to weather conditions, refunds will not be made. A 50% discount to entry will be provided to the Flaming June 2026.
Refunds
Registration fee is non-refundable. Registrations can be transferred by contacting edds@edds.co.uk, giving full details of yourself and the new runner.
